My experience in this capacity has given me the opportunity to understand how groups of people achieve success, and I’m privileged to be able to use that understanding to help my clients thrive in good times and bad.
David Myers has extensive experience in public accounting with an emphasis in taxation. He served for two years as State Auditor of Missouri before joining The Whitlock Company in 1986. David is experienced in business advisory services such as ESOP accounting, tax issues, cash management and tax planning for corporations and shareholders.
His clients represent a variety of industries including transportation, wholesale and retail distribution, manufacturing, service businesses, financial institutions and car dealerships. He has also worked at length with individuals on tax and estate planning issues.
David earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accountancy from the University of Missouri, Columbia. He also holds a Tax Educational Achievement certificate from the American institute of CPAs. As a member of the ESOP Association, he has regularly participated in specialized ESOP training. He is a frequent speaker at events related to tax planning and accounting and is often featured as a guest columnist on these subjects in local publications. He is active in several professional and civic organizations including the American Red Cross, the Missouri Society of CPAs, The Greater Ozarks Chapter of University of Missouri Alumni Association and the MU School of Accountancy Board.
