Previous partner, owner and long-time employee, Elmer Selim, passed away over the weekend. He is survived by his wife Dawn, his three children, stepchildren, grandchildren and host of friends and associates.
Elmer’s career started in 1959 when the company was known as Roper and Richardson. He was promoted to partner in 1975 and served clients in many industries with tax and audit services. The last 20 years Elmer provided outstanding Valuation or Litigation Support services for our clients. In August of 2013, Elmer started his own Valuation/Litigation Support consulting firm. The Whitlock Company continued to partner with him in those areas.
“Elmer had the finest analytical mind I have ever known. He was very good at his job and very good with clients. Elmer consistently placed the best interest of the firm above his own, making him a great team player and the best partner you could ever have,” said Barney Whitlock who worked alongside Elmer for many years.
